About Position Nimonik is a growing (65% per year) business to business (B2B) software as a service (SaaS) company. Nimonik offers a solution to help companies respect environmental and safety regulations. Nimonik solutions supports companies’ efforts to respect quality standards, risk management and other sets of requirements that come from a variety of sources – internal corporate requirements, head office requirements, client requirements etc. Nimonik works with companies in nearly every industry with a physical footprint. Nimonik currently has clients that operate office buildings, mines, oil & gas, car parts manufacturing, aviation, trucking, and rail transportation. Nimonik currently has clients in over ten countries, but the majority of clients are in Canada and the United States. Nimonik is looking to grow its international operations and is looking for a person to lead the sales efforts in the United States, Europe and Asia. Responsibilities You will be responsible for quadrupling our sales to International (outside Canada) clients within two years. You will be provided with a list of current clients, who we service in Canada and who we wish to service internationally. You will be responsible for locating the appropriate contacts and working your way to the correct decision maker in the organization. You will also be responsible for handling new business with companies around the world who have contacted Nimonik over the years. We currently have a database of 35 000 contacts, 25 000 of which are located outside of Canada. You will focus initially on the United States, but you will also be responsible for growing the business in Europe and Asia. You will be expected to work at the hours that are convenient to our clients and ensure they have the appropriate information and service to feel comfortable purchasing our services. Members of the Nimonik team have closed deals with companies in over 10 countries around the world. Occasional travel will be required. You will be expected to coach and mentor junior sales people as we hire more staff. You will not be responsible for managing staff unless, at a later date, it is determined that this is the best use of your skills. Qualifications • Experience and understanding of consultative sales; • Knowledge of SPIN selling technique; • 5 years in business to business software as a service sales; • Work and personal experience in foreign countries; • Desire to be part of a small and growing international company; • Basic understanding of environmental, safety, quality and risk management systems; • Understanding of the regulatory system for environmental, safety, and quality control; • Experience closing deals in excess of $ 100 000 with multiple people and approvals involved; • Desire to learn and understand new products, cultures and sales techniques.
